CGW Bands: The Bridge House. Rhythm & Blues from Mexico City...

The Bridge House es agrupación dedicada a los ritmos negros en general y el Rhythm & Blues en particular. Integrada por músicos con algunos años de experiencia en diferentes escenas y un joven armonicista que encontraron vagando en el metro de la Cd. de México son actualmente una de las apuestas más interesantes dentro del circuito capitalino enfocado a la música negra. Son  devotos recalcitrantes de dos de los sacerdotes mas grandes del Blues de Chicago: Howlin’ Wolf y Muddy Waters por lo que es menester que en cada una de sus presentaciones suene inevitablemente una o dos docenas de sus canciones pero han sabido galopar entre los sonidos de New Orleans, el Swamp Blues y hasta el Ska mas primigenio a.k.a. Jamaican R&B. Todo lo que suene a Blues de 12 barras (y hasta lo que no) caerá inevitablemente un día en sus manos para no volver a ser reconocido jamás.

Tras un año de presentaciones han decidido festejar su primer aniversario cerrando el primer día de actividades del Chewing Gum Weekend 2012 y esperemos que los viejos fantasmas del Salon Bach se pongan de acuerdo para hacer de esa una noche inolvidable de cervezas frias y Rhythm & Blues ardiente…

The Bridge House is dedicated to black sounds in general and the Rhythm & Blues in particular. Composed of musicians with several years of experience in different scenes and a young harmonica player that who found wandering in the underground Mexico City are now one of the most interesting bets in the capital circuit focused on black music. They are devoted die-hard of two biggest bluesmens of Chicago Blues: Howlin 'Wolf and Muddy Waters and it's necessary that in each of their presentations sound inevitably one or two dozen of their songs but they have managed to gallop between the sounds of New Orleans, Swamp Blues, and even the most primitive Ska a.k.a. Jamaican R & B. All that sounds like a 12-bar blues (and even what not) will inevitably fall into his hands one day never to ever be recognized.

After a year of presentations have decided to celebrate its first anniversary by closing the first day of activities Chewing Gum Weekend 2012 and hopefully the old ghosts of Salon Bach agree to make this an unforgettable night of cold beer and hot Rhythm & Blues ...

CGW Bands: The Hide Times (Rhythm & Blues, Cd. de Mexico)

 

The Hide Times es, como muchas otras historias, una que empieza al final de una noche de fiesta. Tipico, un grupo de amigos que pensaron sería bueno brindar una brizna de aire fresco a la escena y después de un primer intento se reincorporaron, tomaron aire y buscaron aliados para continuar. Esa es la historia de Erick, Daniel, Cros, Lala y Enrique que acompañados de un montón de viejas canciones y un órgano compacto deciden aportar un poco de si a esa cosa llamada R&B simplemente para pasarlo bien y pensando que, tal vez, de paso, aquellos sonidos que tanto disfrutan perduren por siempre.

La noche del viernes 27 de Julio serán los encargados de abrir el Chewing Gum Weekend 2012 y tanto ellos como nosotros estamos nerviosos ya que esta será su primera aparición no solo dentro de la escena Mod capitalina, también será su primer actuación en público.

The Hide Times, like many other stories, begins at the end of a night party. Typical, a group of friends who thought it would be great provide a breath of fresh air to the scene and after a first attempt they gathered again, took air and looking for allies to continue. That's the story of Eric, Daniel, Cros, Lala and Enrique that along of lots of old songs and compact organ decided to bring some for this thing called R&B just to have fun.

On Friday night of July 27th they will be responsible for opening the Chewing Gum Weekend 2012 and obviously they like us are nervous because this will be their first appearance not only in the Mexico City Mod Scene will also be his first public performance.

The Hide Times. A name that we will hear much from here?
