CGW DJ's: Nick Soule (Windy City Soul Club, Chicago)

Crecí rodeado de discos, y escuchando hits de Motwn con mis padres. Me interese por el punk rock cuando era aun joven, lo cual motivo mi obsesión por los discos raros, y todo aquello siguió cierta evolución en dirección a la cultura Mod/Skinhead que me llevo hacia el Reggae y poco después al Soul. Empecé con el Windy City Soul Club en el otoño de 2008 con cinco amigos. Hemos tenido numerosos cambios de residencia, pero finalmente encontramos un lugar permanente en The Empty Bottle aquí en Chicago. Además de nuestra noche en Chicago, he pinchado en otras fiestas locales en EU, pero nunca fuera del país. El Chewing Gum Weekender sera mi primer salida internacional. ¡Lo espero con ansia!

 I grew up around records, and with my parents listening to motown hits. I got into punk rock at a young age, which spawned my obsession with rare records, and from that everything sort of evolved into the mod/skinhead culture which then led to reggae and after that soul music. I started Windy City Soul Club in the Autumn of 2008 with 5 of my friends. We've had numerous venues changes, but finally found a permanent location at The Empty Bottle here in Chicago. In addition to our night in Chicago, I've DJed at other local nights in the US, but never out of the country. The Chewing Gum Weekender will be my first international gig. Looking forward to it!
